Boseman’s brothers speak warmly about their sibling’s dedication to education and commitment to his craft as a whole. “He was nerdy!” Derrick, a pastor, laughs. “He’s a great person to look up to because there are a lot of negative people (in the world) but everything about him was positive.” “I think Chad was an incredibly disciplined artist, and (this play) really demonstrates his intellectual prowess,” Kevin, also an actor, continues. “We’re in an era of being very uninformed and uneducated. There was a moment in American history where slaves were not allowed to read and, in America, it feels like we’re not necessarily saying ‘you can’t read’ but we’re not educating people to think. Whereas what Chad to me as a writer was doing was thinking very critically, so I really hope (that attitude) inspires people.”
