Next May 3, the RED Fridays return to La Térmica, one of the most consolidated and emblematic events of the contemporary culture center of the Provincial Council of Málaga. And they do it with important news.

In this new stage, the format takes a turn towards a meeting of living arts, with more music, theater, dance and performance, with design and fashion, in a dynamic and diverse program of six uninterrupted hours of activities closely linked to local talent. The objective is to propose an immersive art experience so that the public can enjoy a different proposal. In addition, the events will have a solidarity nature and the tickets, available on the La Térmica website starting Friday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m., will go to different NGOs.

At this event on May 3, the music will be provided by the Dominican singer and songwriter The Change and the Madrid-based Oddliquor, as headliners, in addition to the sessions by the Granada-based DJ Natural Language, the Barcelona-born Tony Varga and the Malaga-born Jhon Mena and Marzziano, from the Apparenzza Music label.

It will also have the RED Capsule, a project in collaboration with Málaga de Moda conceived to show the creation and experimentation of Málaga talents in this sector. As for the performance, one of the most reinforced sections and which will be present in different parts of the building, will feature Jana Pacheco and Panamá Díaz, Verónica Ruth Frías and Cristina Savage.

Cristina Savage (Connecticut, 1979) is an artist who investigates data as a large part of her work in defense of women’s rights. It is the second time that the artist will represent this very painful piece, which invites the public to reflect on human fragility and indifference. With a tambourine frame hooked to her chest, she sews red crosses on herself, on her second skin, which recall the wounds inflicted on the bodies of victims of gender violence that the artist sees in news programs that exclusively narrate cases. of femicides.

Women have the right to demand their share, without fear, without regard and with backward gluttony.

Recycling Performance is a project conceived by Jana Pacheco and Panamá Díaz, designed as a tribute to the influential performing artists of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Through a feminist perspective, we seek to incorporate gender care and theories into body art. that have emerged in recent years, thus enriching our artistic expression with a contemporary and reflective vision.
