Timely intervention of vigilant residents saved the life of a man who attempted suicide in a Noida society on Monday. According to the police, the man is mentally unstable and in treatment.
A 21-year-old man tried to jump from the balcony of his rented apartment on the 14th floor of Supertech Capetown Society in Noida Sector 74.
Residents who noticed the situation immediately intervened and prevented the tragedy.

The video of the incident recorded by the resident shows the man barely hanging on the balcony. Two people come from behind and save him.
According to the police, the man had previously lived with his family in the community before moving to Sector 41 in Noida. On the day of the incident, he arrived at Supertech Capetown without informing his family and attempted suicide.
The police received a report at around 10:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they confirmed the man’s mental illness and ongoing treatment. His family, who also acknowledged his mental instability, took him back home.
The authorities have confirmed that the situation is under control and no further action will be taken.
