Contemporary dance is a discipline that mobilizes the entire body and encourages creativity. In my practice, I integrate urban dance techniques and body expression, relying on methods such as those of Acogny (A. Germaine), Silvestre (R. Silvestre) and Laban (R. Laban). We work from the spine and the center, adapting to the possibilities of each student and applying a respectful pedagogy in which students learn according to the availability of their bodies.

TALLER 1: LAB Dance Class – Focus on Choreography (18:00-19:30)

The aim of this workshop is to learn new choreographies, aimed at people with or without experience in dance, at an open level. Every 2-3 weeks, a new choreography is introduced and practiced during the sessions.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Release the body
  • Working the “Groove”
  • Improve coordination
  • Increase flexibility
  • Developing body memory

Class Development:

  1. Heating: Space-based and focused activities.
  2. Techniques: Exercises linked to a particular dance style or body techniques.
  3. Learning/Repeating the Choreography: Practice and refinement of choreography.
  4. Stretching: Exercises to relax and stretch the muscles.

The proposed choreographies are a fusion of contemporary dance, urban dance and body expression, offering a dynamic and enriching experience.

TALLER 2: LAB Research – Focus on Movement (19:30-20:30)

The aim of this workshop is movement research, aimed at people with dance experience or those interested in learning within a less directed structure.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Delve into dance techniques such as Acogny, Silvestre and Laban.
  • Enter into a creative process adapted to the possibilities of each student’s body.
  • Discover choreographic tools to create dance sequences from everyday gestures.

Class Development:

  1. Heating: Space-based and focused activities.
  2. Techniques: Exercises linked to a particular dance style or body techniques.
  3. Exercises and Guidelines: Activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
  4. Choreographic Games: Dynamics that promote the creation of choreographic material.
  5. Stretching: Exercises to relax and stretch the muscles.

This approach focuses on the spine, textures, elements and everyday gestures, promoting a deep and creative exploration of movement.
