The retreating crutch

In bullfighting there is sometimes a curious phenomenon that we could call the retreating muleta. It is about that “technique” by which the bullfighter, at the moment of embroque, when the bull reaches his jurisdiction, instead of leaving the muleta on and pulling the charge, he withdraws it, takes it off, leaving everything half done. Of course, since there is no shot, there is no complete muletazo, but rather half passes. Or not even that.
