Andy Warhol filmed several films with his friend, the artist of Venezuelan origin, Marisol. That’s what she called herself when she erased the last name Escobar from her signature, simply Marisol. In one of these films, in 1964, two years after both creators met in New York, he showed her in the same plane as one of his most popular wooden sculptures, Women and Dog. Because when they met, she was already a successful artist, with a place earned in the city of skyscrapers’ nascent pop art scene. He, however, was dealing with his beginnings.
