A review of the films that hit theaters this month and on platforms like Netflix

The billboard in June, with the beginning of summer, the heat and the big proposals from the studios (after the setback of The Mandalorian and Grogu), will be defined by two phenomena: the new bets of terror youtuber to attract generation Z and the fourth sequel to one of the most famous animated sagas in history and which arrives ready to destroy everything it finds along the way. Furthermore, Steven Spielberg is releasing a movie, although that is no longer as huge an event as it was a few years ago.
In between, there will also be nostalgia of all kinds, some superheroines and even films that anticipate the imminent World Cup, which this summer the theaters will compete for attention. Thanks to all this, the billboard seems to maintain the good health of the best year at the box office since the pandemic for now, even if Spanish cinema gives up part of its share after a very strong start. The proposals seem to be convincing different audiences for the first time in time, and summer is the great test.
These are the most anticipated film releases for June 2026:
