Pierre Audi died suddenly on May 3 of last year in Beijing, but his legacy is still very present in Aix-en-Provence. The unexpected death of its director left the veteran festival of the city of Cézanne in a state very similar to orphanhood and several months passed until, on October 27, the appointment of the American stage director Ted Huffman as his successor was made public, a choice that surprised many and whose first practical consequences will not begin to be seen until 2028.
