The classical world is today the object of desire of an extreme right that tries to appropriate its imperial ideas and aesthetics but, fortunately, it has a defender who arrived much earlier, Mary Beard, with her energy and vehemence intact. The great expert on Greeks and Romans, emeritus professor at the University of Cambridge and 2016 Princess of Asturias Award winner, addresses the phenomenon in Classics without filters (Criticism), a demonstration that knowledge coexists better with amenity and enthusiasm. Beard, born Much Wenlock (United Kingdom) is 71 years old.
