FRP, a powersports brand built around making outdoor riding accessible, has announced Rider Series, its first community initiative in the United States, as part of the company’s ongoing US expansion. The series opens on 2 May in Stafford, Texas, with plans to extend into further key markets across the country.
The opening event, FRP Rider Series Houston Vol. 1 Keep Going Further, will gather local riders for an afternoon that includes community riding, mini bike games, and custom bike showcases. FRP will use the occasion to present the GMB100 in new blue and yellow colourways. Participants in selected activities will be eligible for product-based rewards, including branded apparel, accessories, and parts.
“We built FRP for people who want to ride consistently,” said Wei Huang, founder and CEO of FRP. “The goal has always been to make riding feel approachable at the beginning and worth coming back to after the first ride. The industry sells courage. We believe courage happens after riders trust the bike.”
The Rider Series initiative has been developed to serve the increasing number of riders who approach powersports through regular riding, local gatherings, and shared social experiences rather than through competitive or performance-led events. The series sits within a wider shift in the powersports community towards riding that is more practical and community-oriented in nature.
“We do not see community as a marketing campaign,” Huang said. “We see it as listening. The people who ride our bikes help shape what we build next, and these events give us a way to stay close to that.”
FRP intends to run Rider Series as a continuing platform to connect with local riding communities as it expands further across the US. Looking ahead, the company will also introduce two new models in June — the FX140 and FX125 — both featuring engineering updates aimed at trail performance and durability over longer rides.
The Houston event will be held from 4pm to 8pm on 2 May at 12999 Murphy Rd., Unit 2K1, Stafford, Texas. The event is open to invited riders, local partners, and members of the wider community.
