Fernando Méndez-Leite (Madrid, 82 years old) has been re-elected president of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain with 858 votes in favor, the greatest support ever received for a candidacy, the only one that was presented. The filmmaker will spend another four years being the face of Spanish cinema, accompanied in the vice-presidencies by the producer Félix Tusell (his production company, Estela Films, was founded by his grandfather, making it the oldest active in Spain) and the actress Ángela Cervantes (candidate this year for the Goya with to anger).
