The singers David Bustamante, Daniel Diges and Diana Navarro will perform next Monday, June 8, during the meeting of the Church of Madrid with Pope Leo XIV at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, within the pontiff’s visit to Spain, scheduled between June 6 and 12. Artists such as Luis Alfredo, Chito Morales and Maite López will also participate in the event, as well as the Cruz Diez Symphony Orchestra, the Pop Salesianos and the choreographer Ismael Olivas along with his dance team, as reported by the Archdiocese of Madrid.

Likewise, a large choir is being organized, made up of a thousand voices—300 of them children—accompanied by 70 musicians and 100 dancers. The meeting, which will start approximately two hours before the Pope’s arrival at the stadium, will include a repertoire designed to accompany the prayer and joint celebration of the diocese. The program will combine works by classical and contemporary authors, from Ludwig van Beethoven to Kiko Argüello, Hakuna, Francisco Palazón or Diego Torres. The Archdiocese has also highlighted the interpretation of the anthem Look upa collaborative composition created specifically for the papal visit and that will be performed by all the voices of the Madrid Church Family Choir.

It is not the only musical performance that will accompany the Pope’s visit: the Madrid Archdiocese already confirmed a few days ago the performance of Niña Pastori after the Pope’s visit to the Cedía 24 Horas de Cáritas center, in the district of La Latina. At the meeting with young people planned in Plaza de Lima, near the Santiago Bernabéu, some 50,000 people are expected to stay in schools, parishes and sports centers in the capital.

The papal trip will begin on June 6 with the arrival of Leo XIV at Barajas airport, where he will be received by the Kings of Spain. Afterwards, he will go to the Royal Palace for an institutional event with representatives of the State, civil society and the diplomatic corps. The Archdiocese also highlighted that the Pope will visit the Congress of Deputies on June 8, where for the first time a Pontiff will deliver a speech before members of Congress and the Senate. After his visit to Madrid, the Pope will travel to Barcelona and, from there, on the 11th, he will leave for the Canary Islands, where he will end his trip with a two-day visit.
