This March 15, the city of Los Angeles hosted the 98th edition of the most important awards in the film industry. For the second consecutive year, Conan O’Brien has been in charge of presenting the Dolby Theater event.

The sinners was positioned as the most nominated film in the history of the Oscars, with 16 opportunities to win the statuette, thus surpassing the 14 of Eve naked (1950), Titanic (1997) y La La Land (2016). However, it has only won four awards (actor, adapted screenplay, photography and soundtrack), being surpassed by One battle after anotherwhich has achieved 6 of the 13 nominations it had: film, direction, adapted screenplay, supporting director, supporting actor and editing.

Frankenstein came in third place with three awards: production design, makeup and hair, and costumes, followed by The K-pop warriors, which has won two statuettes (animation feature and song).

Weapons (supporting actress), F:1 the movie (sound), Valor sentimental (international film) and Mr. Nobody contra Putin (long documentary) have each won an award.

Meanwhile, the Spanish Sirât had achieved two nominations, both for best international film and best sound, but was left without any statuette, since Valor sentimental has taken the first and F1: the moviethe second.
