Mark Evans takes a top role in Chancey Lana
A lawyer translated legal lecturer has taken over the leaders of Law Society.
Mark Evans, who teaches the Land and Real Estate Act of the Land and Chester University Manchester and Chester campuses, has been appointed President of Society 181 after he had risen from the vice chairman last week.
Evans, the third President of Society, spent more than 28 years as a lawyer for real estate and private clients before moving on to legal education.
He has been active in both regional and national law societies since 2010. In 2015, he was elected to the English Law and Wales as a member of the North Wales Council.
In commenting on his appointment, Evans said: “I have the honor of being a lawyer as president when we round our two -year year. During my presidential year, I look forward to defending the English and Wales profession and showing the next generation that they have a place in the legal sector.
“As president, I will tell you about” legal deserts “in England and Wales, where the number of lawyers is reduced and the communities are trying to use legal advice and justice,” Evans continued. “To help this, I would like to emphasize non-traditional routes to the profession and help to equip small and medium-sized law offices with tools they need to ensure fairness.”
In his new role, Evans is supported by Brett Dixon, a lawyer and vice-chairman of the trial, and Dana Denis-Smith, another lawyer and 100-year project founder of the 100-year project.
