The awards return to the city 26 years later in a gala presented by Luis Tosar and Rigoberta Bandini that starts with ‘Los Domingos’ and ‘Sirât’ as favorites
The Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain recognizes the best of the seventh national art this Saturday with the delivery of the Goya awards. The gala begins at 10:00 p.m. in the Auditori Fórum of the International Convention Center of Barcelona, a city to which these awards had not returned since 2000. The Barcelona singer Rigoberta Bandini and the actor Luis Tosar direct the ceremony, in which the filmmaker Gonzalo Suárez will receive the honorary Goya and Susan Sarandon, the international one. In this edition, they start as favorites Sundays, by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, who has 13 nominations; Sirât, by Oliver Laxe, who aspires to 11, and Maspalomas, by Jose Mari Goenaga and Aitor Arregi, with 9. The gala will feature musical performances by Belén Aguilera, Bad Gyal, Dani Fernández, La Casa Azul, Ana Mena, Alba Molina, Ángeles Toledano, and a special number by Bandini herself, winner of the Goya in 2024 and which she covered last year The love.
