Felixstowe residents will soon be able to access cash services, seek financial advice and update their passport books at a new location in the town.

Suffolk Building Society has announced the opening of a new branch in Felixstowe, its 11th location.

The new branch will be located next to the old Great Eastern Square train station, sharing space with East of England Co-op Travel.

The patch will open in March 2025 with part-time opening hours, which may change depending on demand.

Richard Norrington, chief executive of Suffolk Building Society, said: “As Felixstowe is the fifth largest town in our county, it is fitting that we return with a new full service branch.

“We know that many people in the town have long wanted us to reopen the face-to-face service, giving members the chance to get the support and personal service they have come to associate with Suffolk Building Society.

“We are very excited to welcome the people of Felixstowe and the surrounding villages to our new branch and maintain our commitment to the local community.”

The club adds that its “bricks and clicks” model is at the heart of its services.
