One-day activity: February 15 or March 22 | From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In Ecodecswe are dedicated to promoting connection with nature and environmental education in a unique and attractive way. To do this, we offer workshops on creating self-sufficient terrariumsa valuable opportunity for participants to learn about the natural world through experimentation and care for their own miniature ecosystem.
Our workshops are designed to engage students in the hands-on exploration of scientific concepts, while sparking their curiosity about the environment around them. Through the creation of a self supporting terrariumthey will not only learn about the water cycle and ecological balance, but also develop skills such as observation, care and responsibility.
Creation Process:
- Basis of the Ecosystem (False Bottom)
We begin by forming layers of natural sand that will act as a water reserve, thus maintaining the water balance of the terrarium. - Placing Danish Moss
We will prepare and place the moss, a fundamental piece to preserve humidity and harmony within the ecosystem. - Incorporation of Fitonia
We will add phytonia, whose adaptation to high humidity conditions and vibrant tones make it the protagonist of the terrarium. - Adding Life (Springtails)
Finally, we will introduce springtails: small invertebrates that decompose organic matter and convert it into essential nutrients, thus closing the food chain and guaranteeing a lasting ecological balance.
All inclusive
You don’t need to bring anything: both the creation class and all materials and tools are provided by Ecodecs. You just have to arrive with your desire to learn and connect with nature.
All members of Ecodecs are recent graduates of the University of Malaga. Since its founding in 2020, we have developed our project with the aim of turning it into a scalable and sustainable company focused on the creation of natural decorative elements, as well as related services, growing little by little until today.
