Last Sunday, the North Holland Cup, a qualification test for three and four-year-old dressage and jumping horses, was held at Barsingerhorn. Rocky Mountain Taonga (Kilimanjaro x D-Day) presented by Jill van den Berg was awarded as the winner in three-year-old dressage horses. In four-year-old dressage horses, that honor went to Pryce (Fürst Dior x Zonik) with Emma Laarkamp. In the combined category of show horses, Roxette N (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Chin Chin), rider Lana Schuurman, was the best.
Three-year-olds
Dressage horses were judged by Jolanda Glimmerveen and Daniel Mosterdijk. They gave Rocky Mountain Taonga 433 points for walk 83, trot 95, canter 83, driveability 84 and general impression 88. Ranger (Kaiman x Love for You) followed with 431 points and Marissa Kooima was second. The stallion received 90 points twice: for his gait and rideability. Racoon (McLaren x Florencio) ridden by Reante Langeberg finished third with 427 points.
Four year olds
Among the four-year-olds, Pryce (Fürst Dior x Zonik) was able to be at the top with Emma Laarkamp. The stallion received 90 points for all components, a total of 450 points. Davey Vodde’s Parson Street ANM (Jameson RS2 x Zhivago) finished second with 441 points and Popcorn DS (Desperado x Wynton) rounded out the top three. Under Lisa Veldhuisen’s saddle, the black rider scored 412 points.
Jumping horses
In the combination of three- and four-year-old show jumpers, judges Marco Sas and Lauw van Vliet awarded the three-year-old Roxette N (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Chin Chin) the most points. The mare presented by Lana Schuurman scored 442 points. His list of marks is four times 90 (reflexes, technique, power and general impression), the gallop was awarded 82 points. United Touch S son Prommis Me Society (ds. Cantos) was not far behind with 440 points. The four-year-old stallion ridden by Arjen van Diepen got three 90 points (gallop, technique and general impression) and two 85 points. Cornorado (Cornet Obolensky x Diarado) and Jesper Beukers scored 434 points, which put this four-year-old third.
