Friday, October 4, 2024 | 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

On October 4, La Térmica will celebrate its fourth RED Friday of the year, one of the most established and emblematic events of the Malaga Provincial Council’s contemporary culture centre. In this new phase, the format is shifting towards a meeting of live arts, with more music, theatre, dance and performance, with design and fashion in a dynamic and diverse programme of six uninterrupted hours.

The aim is to offer an immersive art experience. It is also worth highlighting the charitable nature of this new stage, which is why the tickets will go to five NGOs: the association for the defence of care for anorexia nervosa and bulimia Adaner, the association for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome, Down Málaga, AVOI, the association of volunteers for childhood cancer, the animal shelter Galgos en Familia and the cultural association of Málaga Irreconciliables.

18:00 – Doors open.

18:00 – 22:00 / RED Fashion

The RED FASHION Capsule is a project in collaboration with Malaga Fashion conceived to showcase the creation and experimentation of Malaga talents in this sector. The RED FASHION capsule is presented as an extrasensory immersion that explores the connection between fashion, art and the contemporary through creativity.

The creations of the following designers will be on display: Ana Lanas, Nakerando Kalé, Kimonada, Inma de la Riva, Marinetto Designs, Firenze Team and Julieta Brand. We will have the artist Aintzane Cruceta who, through Pop Surrealism, creates works that mix the sweet and the disturbing with the atmosphere of the dream world. She will exhibit a representation of her works and perform live for everyone’s delight.

The customisation of the looks will be carried out through a textile customisation corner where attendees will be offered the opportunity to personalise their clothes and trainers. The artist DEI will be present to customise clothes live, including jeans and Converse-style trainers. DJ Foreverness will perform live, creating a magical and special atmosphere. As a final touch, the capsule offers an unforgettable souvenir, a photograph with a RED FASHION magazine cover. Attendees will be able to take a photo inside the cover and take home a souvenir photograph.

19:00 – 19:30 / Performance “Yes, I love myself”. Collective directed by May Serrano

“Yes, I love myself” is a ceremony of marriage with oneself. May Serrano, as master of ceremonies, invites the people of Malaga to join as protagonists of this unique ritual. In the days leading up to it, she will call on those who wish to participate to commit to loving, caring for, respecting and being true to themselves every day of their lives. This symbolic ceremony includes all the traditional elements of a wedding.

19:00 – 20:00 / Beatmakers Exhibition / Patio del Tiempo Stage

Members of the Diáspora collective will offer us a display of rhythms created specifically to kick off the stage dedicated to the rap scene with enthusiasm and strength. They will help us spread the word about the event among their followers.

20:00 – 20:30 / Performance «Sisyphus» by Marcos Pereira.

The myth of Sisyphus reflects the constant struggle of human beings to achieve perfection, facing an endless cycle of self-demand and expectations imposed by society. Like Sisyphus, we find ourselves trapped in a perpetual effort to meet unattainable goals, which leads us to despair and distance ourselves from the enjoyment of life. This process generates anxiety, depression and loss of identity. Albert Camus’ quote, “One must imagine Sisyphus happy,” invites us to reconsider vulnerability and the need for help as something natural rather than a weakness.

20:00 – 21:00 / Guerrita & Ciclo / Patio del Tiempo Stage

Guerrita and Ciclo get together 4 years after their first album “Loto y Papiro”. On this occasion, the album takes us on a dystopian journey made real, marked by a false positivism, where the fleeting is less and less lasting and the reflection of the image is worth more than the person themselves. Combining passages that mix: crudeness, acid criticism, irony, even disappointment treated with humor in their own personal experiences, the duo invites us to discover a portrayed “metropolis” in which each listener will glimpse what the city hides: individualism, giant LED screens that hide the landscape, dead-end streets and gray facades covered by polychromatic colored tarps.

20:30 – 21:30 / Lashe / Victoria Beers Stage.

Lashe is a prominent urban artist who has burst onto the music scene with her unique style and his emotional voice. Born and raised in a city as vibrant as Córdoba, Lashe discovered her passion by music from an early age, drawing inspiration from a variety of genres ranging from R&B or rap, to reggaeton. His career took off with singles impactful that resonated with a diverse audience, cementing her as a figure prominent in urban music. Proof of this is the catchy ‘Bota la culata’ (2020). Lashe is known for her heartfelt lyrics and her ability to connect with her audience. a very deep and personal level, with a magnetic stage presence and a unwavering dedication to his art.

21:00 – 21:30 / Performance «Yes, I love myself». Collective directed by May Serrano

21:00 – 22:00 / N-Wise / Patio del Tiempo Stage

N-Wise Allah, also known as NY, is a founding member and member of the renowned collective MDE Click. Musically active since the late 90s, he became known to the general public in 2011 with a bang in the form of his self-published work “5%”, an album that changed the national rap scene drastically, addressing sounds and themes unknown to the national public until then.

21:30 – 22:30 / Farga / Victoria Beers Stage.

Farga, one of the most promising artists in Spain and with a clear international projection. In her latest works, she takes a musical turn and explores a much more pop style, leaving behind the sound of her first EP: Origen. After her previous release, “Plastilina” Farga brings us three new singles: “Te seguiré besando” is a battle cry to defend love of any kind, loving whoever you want regardless of their gender or condition. With phrases like, “What’s wrong with me loving you like this? I’ll keep kissing you even if they stare at you with nothing to say,” the artist puts an end to those situations that she has had to live through for being part of the LGTBIQ+ Collective and that she is determined to never let affect her again. “Subes y baja” is the most intimate song on the EP.

22:30 – 23:55 / Mr Piro / Victoria Beers Stage

Misterpiro, visual and urban artist. Graduated in Design from the Complutense University of Madrid, the city where he lives, although his work and his works take him to travel all over the world. His origins were in the street, with graffiti, and later he continued with watercolor, acrylic and water techniques in his studio. Today, he has managed to unite these two very contrary techniques in a unique style, full of expression and color, ranging from the warmest red to the most electric turquoise. With his distinctive delicacy he brings watercolor to the street, which represents for Misterpiro a new medium, the mural, which has little to do with the works on paper or canvas of his studio works.

22:00 – 23:55 / Dalila / Patio del Tiempo Stage.

Inspired by the British sound of the early 90s, DALILA’s project is irrevocably a one-way ticket straight to the heart and hedonistic spirit of the rave. That’s why the Sevillian artist’s sets are full of impossible breaks, powerful keyboards and bass, which combine the perfect recipe to jump, smile, hug and reach the euphoria of the free party culture. She brings this sound to her own works, softening the rhythms with emotional break-ballads like in her single “Cieguita” (ft. Tontimerweber) or in her first work “Tempestad”.
