This workshop is aimed at people who already master the manual mode of their camera and want to delve into more advanced photography concepts.
Duration: 4:30 hours
Workshop structure:
- Theoretical part (approximately 1 hour):
This section will explain key concepts, such as:- How to configure the camera for advanced use.
- Control of dynamic range, histogram, image styles.
- Depth of field, bracketing, HDR, measurement modes, among others.
- Practical part (with continuous supervision of the teacher):
Here we will review technical aspects such as:- How to measure light with the camera light meter and exposure meter.
- Adapt camera parameters to different lighting situations.
- Control of depth of field and color casts using white balance.
- Using the camera’s semi-automatic modes, and more.
In addition, various practical exercises will be carried out to put into action what has been learned, and the practices will be carried out on the premises of The Thermal.
Materials: At the end of the training, the class presentation will be sent by email and physical material will be provided to take notes.
Requirements: To participate in the workshop, students must bring:
- A digital camera with manual mode.
- Fully charged battery and charger, if necessary.
- Empty memory card or with enough space to carry out the practices.
Fer Gómez (Málaga, 1986) is a teacher and photographer. He has extensive experience teaching photography in master’s degrees, courses and workshops with different entities and centers, mainly at the Apertura photography school. In addition, he combines his teaching work as a professional photographer, specialized in architecture.
