What would we think if the fire brigade stopped setting fires because it was too busy? I suspect we would be quite unhappy. But if firefighters then started coming to our homes in big shiny fire lights – when houses and shops were cheerfully burned around the corner – to hold us by saying things on the Internet, we are furious.
So why do we just tolerate the police so useless with burglars, anti -social behavior, disadvantage, vandalism, street disturbance, stores and mugging, when almost every week is another case of heavy -handed thought policy?
