A part of Amsterdam’s RAI was evacuated on Wednesday morning after the police received a report of a suspicious package. The investigation is currently underway, a police spokesperson said.

The suspicious package is said to be at one of the entrances to the event center. The entrance and the surrounding area are isolated. The police spokesperson cannot say exactly which part of the building has been evacuated and how many people are in the building.

The ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) event takes place at the RAI on Wednesday. The organization reported on Instagram that RAI’s C entrance is temporarily closed and visitors should remain calm and follow instructions. Entrances E, F and G would still be available, according to ESHRE.
