Police said the housing association had been “burgled and broken into” and officers were investigating.
The High Street was closed but reopened later.
The number of patrols in the area had been increased “to provide a visible police presence and to reassure the community”, a force spokesman said.
“Our neighborhood teams are actively engaging with residents to listen to concerns and ensure people feel safe.”
