Nancy Travis and Felix Avitia added Grosse Pointe Garden Society pilot roles

Nancy Travis and Felix Avitia are the final two actors cast in the pilot of NBC’s new drama series Grosse Pointe Garden Society.

The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club – Birdie (Melissa Fumero), Alice (AnnaSophia Robb), Brett (Ben Rappaport) and Catherine (Aja Naomi King) – all from different walks of life who become entangled in murder and evil. as they struggle to make their traditional lives come true.

The NBC drama pilot comes from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Travis (pictured left) plays Patty, Doug’s (Alexander Hodge) overbearing mother and Alice’s (Robb) nightmare mother-in-law. She’s a social climber who desperately wants a grandchild and doesn’t hesitate to tell Alice and Doug why they’re taking so long.

Avitia (pictured right) plays Ford, the son of Joel (Matthew Davis) and Misty. An uninspired student with no direction, he is surprised by Birdie’s (Fumero) sudden interest in helping him find his way in the world.

Maggie Kiley is directing the pilot, which she is producing with Bans through Minnesota Logging Co., Krebs and Casey Kyber.

On television, Travis recently appeared on the Hallmark Channel’s Western series Ride. He also starred in Netflix’s The Kominsky Method, Mr. Audience Network’s Mercedes, and the ABC/Fox comedy series Last Man Standing.

Avitia appeared as Neil Flores on Disney+’s Raven’s Home. He also had roles on OWN’s All Rise and ABC’s Speechless.
