Admad, a retired print manager, has had a homesharer since 2023 and Pratibha is the third person he’s shared with. “Dad is happier having younger people around, and, as Pratibha shares similar interests such as football, cooking and global politics, we hoped this would work out. And, it did… We are all like family now,” says Tanya. “As Dad lives alone, this alleviates any concerns if I can’t get over to check on him. The house is secure overnight. And, really importantly, he doesn’t feel lonely and isolated. On a day-to-day basis he’s much more relaxed, and less anxious.” To make sure everything is running smoothly, Share & Care Homeshare check in with Tanya every month.
