On the corner of Old Park Lane and Piccadilly, the Grade II-listed building stands on the site of one of Mayfair’s earliest private mansions, built in the 1760s for the Bruce family. In the early 1800s, Thomas Bruce, the 7th Earl of Elgin, displayed the Elgin Marbles for the first time at the property, planning to turn it into a private museum.
