Last Saturday in Berlin there was a ’30 Years Raving Society’ party and in the so-called Colombiahalle there was a DJ line-up that went very fast already in 1994. We mention Westbam, Hardsequencer, Paul Elstak and Franky Jones. And this last Belgian DJ is also responsible for one of the biggest rave records of all time, namely The First Rebirth, which he made with Axel Stephenson on the famous Bonzai Records.
The song is considered one of the foundations of the Dutch gabber/hardcore music genre. The song was not missing from Franky Jones’ set last Saturday and the audience in Berlin went wild from the first notes of the song.
And the current generation of fans can go wild with a new remix of the song, as Mad Dog has done a banging remix of ‘The First Rebirth’. The album won’t be released until January 2025, but the music video has already been released. The sound could be louder so that the neighbors can enjoy…
