Los Pecos, the emblematic musical duo of the brothers Javier and Pedro José – the blonde and the dark one – Herrero Pozo, have announced their return to the stage with a new tour, Two voices and one story,It will tour the Spanish stages next year. The musicians from the San Cristóbal neighborhood of Los Ángeles (Madrid), who debuted at the end of the seventies with their album Concert for teenagers —with which they sold more than 300,000 copies, being minors—, They will celebrate their 45 years of experience with a journey through their musical history, two decades after their last separation.
His second album, a couple of heartspublished in 1979 and in which Juan Pardo and Víctor Manuel collaborated, was also very successful. The album included the single tell me about yourselfwhich reached number one on the Spanish charts and sold half a million copies. With Always Sinspublished a year later, in 1980, they repeated the success with 300,000 copies sold and the song Señor It also became an international bestseller: more than 300,000 singles in France and major releases in Italy, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Israel. They also collaborated with artists such as Camilo Sesto, Julio Iglesias, José Luis Perales and Miguel Bosé. With their music they toured Spain and Latin America, where they also became a musical phenomenon.
The duo ended up selling more than four million LPs at that time, before separating in 1986 —the brothers had to complete military service, mandatory at that time in Spain. Then they returned in 1993, in a new stage, much less successful, with the release of albums such as the commemorative Pecos 25th anniversary: where were you?from 2003, before separating again in 2005. From then on, Javier began a solo career, while his brother Pedro disappeared from the music scene.
Javier and Pedro’s new tour – aged 62 and 60, respectively – will begin in Madrid on March 23, 2025 and will tour cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, A Coruña and Bilbao. Tickets will go on sale December 12.
