Weather “shocks” experienced by the UK since 2022, including droughts, extreme heat and heavy rainfall, have pushed prices for a typical 2kg leg of lamb up by between 7% and 21% each time, according to the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) think tank.
