José Moreno Hurtado, better known as Joselemultifaceted artist who triumphed through music and humor, and who was the author of the catchy summer theme María Isabelhe has died this morning in Seville at age 81, nearby sources have informed Efe.
Josele, who began as a solo singer in the sixties, had his musical explosion with the Los Payos group, along with his friends, Eduardo Rodríguez Rodway and Luis Javier Moreno Salguero Pibe. The greatest success obtained a catchy song that became success of the summer of 1969 and led to fame.
After music came the stage of humor, which led him to record several joke albums, and to participate in numerous television programs. He even opened the doors of cinema during the transition, in addition to devoting himself to record production, from where he supported young musical talents.
Josele’s multifaceted character also led him to be a sports commentator in the program The ball of Canal Sur Radio, with a different contribution than usual at that time.
