District and Parish Councilor and Codsall resident Megan Barrow officially unveiled The Square’s Tipton & Coseley Building Society, with former Wolves footballers John Richards and Steve Daley adding star power to the event on November 27.
The first customers were offered goodie bags and gifts, as well as a selection of edible treats made by the village’s artisanal bakery, Medicine.
Speaking to guests on the opening day, Megan Barrow said: “It’s great to see a fresh new business coming to Codsall and I’m sure the community will welcome Tipton with open arms.
“We welcome not only the company, but also people who care about the village and its people.”
The new Codsall branch has opened in a former beauty salon, which Tipton was able to transform in less than three months with the support of West Bromwich-based store manager Esprit UK.
Tipton managing director Adam Evetts added: “Codsall is a vibrant, well-connected village with a really strong sense of local community. Our vision is to make a positive impact on everyone we come into contact with and we can’t wait to bring this to life in Codsall.”
The opening has created four jobs, including two full-time customer service advisors, one part-time customer service advisor and a branch manager.

The new branch, which is open from Monday to Saturday, offers a variety of banking services, savings accounts and mortgage products, and has three transaction points, comfortable seating, digital information screens and two private rooms for customer advice.
Codsall has become the Fifth branch of Tipton & Coseley Building Society, joining existing sites in Tipton, Coseley, Sedgley and Bilston.
