Since its first performance in Dublin in 1742, Georg Friedrich Handel’s “Messiah” has been one of the most famous and beloved pieces of music by choirs and concertgoers around the world.
Handel composed “Messiah” in just three weeks, based on biblical texts that describe Jesus’ prophetic prophecy and birth, suffering and resurrection, and even the Messiah’s role in the afterlife.
45 years after the Choral Society of Brussels performed this work in its first concert, it now takes you together with the Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles under conductor Eric Delson on an extraordinary musical journey with the famous “Hallelujah” and many others. .
