Since its first performance in Dublin in 1742, Georg Friedrich Händel’s “Messiah” has been one of the most famous and beloved pieces of music by choirs and concertgoers around the world.
Handel composed Messiah in just three weeks based on biblical texts that describe Jesus’ prophetic prophecy and birth, suffering and resurrection, and even the Messiah’s role in the afterlife.
45 years after the Brussels Choral Society performed this work in its first concert, it now takes you, together with the Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles, under conductor Eric Delson, on an extraordinary musical journey through the famous ”Hallelujah” and much more.
