Actor Dean Cain, known for playing Superman in the series Lois & Clark (1993–1997), has announced that it has joined as an officer at the United States Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE), the Federal Agency through which President Trump is executing his crusade to deport immigrants. He has announced it in full campaign of migratory raids initiated in June by this agency in Los Angeles (California), which then extended to other cities in the country and caused mass protests.
Cain, 59, communicated his incorporation on Tuesday through his social networks. In an interview with the chain Fox NewsHe explained that his decision responds to the objective of “helping to guarantee the security of all Americans.”
The actor also highlighted the current incentives to enter the Federal Agency, such as a $ 50,000 bonus, the reimbursement of student loans and retirement benefits. Despite the controversy generated by the raids, he encouraged more citizens to join ICE.
In a recent profile published by VarietyCain openly expressed his support for Donald Trump: “I love President Trump.” It was not pronounced, however, about the accusations that weigh on the agency, related to excessive use of force, separation of families or racial profile.
While numerous public figures – as Jimmy Kimmel, Kim Kardashian, Cardi B or Mark Ruffalo – have expressed their rejection of ICE operations, Cain has done just the opposite, making a call to reinforce recruitment and improve the image of the body.
