ASSEN – Although the Dutch TT is over and Formula 1 is celebrating its summer holidays, car and motorsport enthusiasts are not missing anything! On the contrary, because The Racing Day is Europe’s largest car, motorcycle and karting event on the program 2.-4. August at TT-Circuit Assen. TT Circuit Assen’s annual, freely accessible car, motorcycle and karting show celebrates its 25th year in August. The fact that the formula is very strong is evident from the huge number of visitors the event attracts every year. Last year, as many as 90,000 people came to Assen and enjoyed a great event with many competitions and presentations!
ORACLE Red Bull Racing Team brings F1 action to TT Circuit Assen
25. During The Racing Day, the Red Bull Racing team returns to Assen together with F1 legend David Coulthard. The Scotsman, a 13-time Grand Prix winner, will undoubtedly have fun in the Red Bull car, but he also knows how to give spectators an unforgettable experience with the necessary donuts.
Seven racing classes at the start
This year, The Racing Day is once again a spectacle that no one should miss! There are no fewer than seven racing classes at the start: BOSS GP with numerous Formula 1 cars and other impressive single-seater cars, Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, with a total of more than 11,000 hp at the start as Low’s fastest brand. Countries, the Supercar Challenge, which features a selection of exciting cars, the Mazda MX-5 Cup, which always features top class competition, and the Ford Fiesta Sprint Cup, which always lends itself to exciting races. Of course motorbikes are also involved in Assen, Superbike and Supersport motorbikes from the BeNeLux Trophy and the amazing 250cc Superkarts competing in the Dutch Grand Prix, more than 60 participants at the start!
Great demos
In addition to a competitive program with two races in each class and up to three races in the Superkarts, visitors can also expect spectacular demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday. Racing Day is also known for the many special vehicles that come into action on the track. How about the pioneering Dutch flying car PAL-V! But of course also Formula 1, for which none other than David Coulthard is coming to Assen again on the anniversary of The Racing Day! The Supercar Society will offer compelling displays of impressive super and hypercars on Sunday, with two-seater Formula 1 races by MP Motorsport also taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
And perhaps best of all: admission is free, including a seat in the famous TT grandstands! Those who want even more can order exclusive paddock tickets to get up close to the vehicles and teams. Amazing races, exciting demonstrations, breathtaking stunts: it’s all there.
