There is never a boring day in animal welfare, especially when it is busy. This is usually a good thing – it means that adoptions occur, but it can also lead to many unexpected surprises.
Nobody knows this better than the employees and volunteers of Greenville Humane Society, South Carolina. Being in Humane society keeps them on their toes, regardless of whether they are comforting a safety dog or helping a cat to prepare to go home, but on September 29, everyone made a double taken.
Surprise Possum broke into a shelter in the middle of the day! These difficult beings usually travel at night, but this curious guest surprised everything at an unexpected time. Fortunately, the members of Humane Society staff only knew what to do!
How did it happen in the world? It is not just unusual to see Possum during the day, but it is even more unusual to see one hang out near so many other animals. And it didn’t even play pork!
“Today we found a strange looking dog,” the people of the shelter said in the video. Not serious!

Another viewer commented: “Oh, that there is Very interesting dog. Maybe it’s chihuahua. “Possum looked nice in the yard full of security dogs, but fortunately a human society did not take it as a new resident.
The commentator who joked, “Is he still available?” Have fresh luck! The @gvlhumane staff safely released the piggy back into the woods where it came from. No one was injured in breaking, but now everyone has a unique story to tell.
The pigs are positive
Although pork like this small crime may look scary with their long slags and small eyes, they are very learning and useful for their environment.
One viewer pointed out that a little piggy probably “wants to keep all the puppies ticking!” Although it is probably not the reason why the Marsupial wandered into the yard, it is true that the pigs are known to be able to withstand bites without getting sick. They also eat ticks, insects, fruits, vegetables and even small mammals.
Eating pork spikes allows them to help control the spread of diseases such as Lyme disease. This does not mean, however, that people do not get to deal with them, so it is always best to use gloves or towels as in this video.
Always be kind to pigs and other animals that can wander to your yard. They just try to live their lives, just like you!
