After leaving the sacristy, he goes up to the altar of a church without disagreement and simulates masturbating with a crucifix. All between screams of God is dead! (Ha Muerto Dios! in Basque) and thanks to the public formed by about 200 people gathered in the temple. The improvised gesture is part of the monologue of the Basque humorist Ane Lindane. “We staggered the foundations of Catholicism to clean laugh. We mancille, blaspheme and denounce the sexual abuse of the Church,” the interpreter collects next to the video of the moment on social networks. In the same way, through X, the Spanish Christian Law Foundation has announced a complaint against these facts.

According to the Ultra -Catholic Foundation, Lindane would have incurred a crime of escarnio, typified in article 525 of the Criminal Code. The president of Christian lawyers, Poland Castellanos, believes that “the actress went to do it in France because she is one of the few European countries where this crime is not collected in her Criminal Code.” Castellanos believes that this type of actions are “a clear example” of what could happen “in Spain if the crime against religious feelings” is decriminalized, as written in another publication on social networks.

The show took place last Sunday during the festival Basque Country live (EHZ) held in the Arberatze-Zilhekoa town, in the French Basque Country (Aquitaine, France, 300 inhabitants). The church of this municipality itself was one of the places that the festival organization allocated for the day acts. In fact, immediately, the Lebanese multidisciplinary artist Queer Falafel took relief of the program in the same place.

“I did not know that I was going to act in a church,” says Lindane in a telephone conversation with the country. “In fact, I could do it because it was a small town, left by the hand of God,” he never better said. When he entered the temple, he explains that he began to improvise with what he had around. He says that he came up with “emulate the scene of The exorcist“With the cross; later, to make” that gesture “and, finally, to begin its” usual monologue, in which, of course, there are many polishes to the Catholic Church. ”

Lindane did not think that publishing the video would generate so much stir. “I have received threats of rape and death from ultras sectors,” denounces the artist. “Everything was a comic fiction, a performancesince I consider that comedy is a tool as valid as the drama to denounce realities, such as abuses within the Church. I do so in all my monologues, ”he defends.

The matter has crossed a limit that considers “ridicule.” For her, it is “a monumental bullshit.” “One of the things that I think we are obliged to do the jesters is precisely this: pointing out those realities, ridiculing them, humiliating them and praying in them. That is my obligation as a comic,” says Lindane.

Ane Miren Hernández, as it is really called, is a 36 -year -old Basque monologuist. He jumped to fame thanks to social networks already Despotorropenand show of humor and open microphone for women and people with dissident genre that presents with Raquel Torres. In addition, in September they return with the late night La Galernawhich welcomes, by the way, another church, in this case in Bilbao and desacralized: Bilborock.
