The Autumn Fair of Madrid, which will be held between October 2 and 12 at the Plaza de Las Ventas and culminates the current season in the capital, dedicates its poster to the figure of the right -handed Paco Camino, who died on July 29 of last year at 83 years of age.
Born in the Sevillian town of Camas on December 14, 1940, and known with the nickname of El Niño Sabio, he stood out being a child for his bullfighting precocity and qualities that would recognize him very soon as a figure of bullfighting: his intelligence, value, power and ease for the execution of the luck.
In his 20 seasons as a bullfighter, he dealt more than 1,600 runs, made the 51 -afternoon sales, cut 48 ears and left on shoulders twelve times through the big door.
On June 4, 1970 he was the protagonist of one of the events of modern bullfighting. He locked himself in sales with seven bulls in the run of charity and cut eight ears.
The poster of the Autumn Fair brings together several historical photographs of the Botan and Chapestro archive that have been colored to give prominence to Paco Camino and a group of fans who take him out of shoulders.
The bullfighting cycle is composed of four bullfights and two fertilizer, to which the great appointment of the Hispanic Day that will close the season, the Festival Pro Monument Homage Antonio Chenel Antoñete in morning hours and the traditional bullfight without picadores of the contest on the way to sales.
