The right -handed Saúl Jiménez Fortes and Morante de la Puebla are the pillars of the Malaga Bullfighting Fair, which will take place from August 14 to 21 and consists of six bullfights, a rejoneum show and a bullfight. Fortes, as a winner of the Malaga Bullfighting Fair of 2024, will double wandering with Emilio de Justo, in hand in hand, and with Morante de la Puebla, which will also double at the fair, according to the posters presented this Friday by the company that manages the bullring of Malaga, future sets.
The presentation of the posters (which are illustrated with a design made by Javier Díaz Yanes inspired by Morante de la Puebla), was attended by some of the protagonists of this fair, such as the Matadores Fortes, David Galván, José Fernando Molina, Pepe Moral, the bullfighters Pablo Páez and Ignacio Candelas, or the rejoneador Ferrer Martín.
The businessman José María Garzón stressed that the posters have the presence of “the best livestock and new faces among the bullfighters, in addition to the doubles of Morante and Fortes”. “The best defense of the party is to fill the bullring,” he said.
The cycle will open with the International Contest of Bullfighting Schools La Malagueta that will be held on August 10, 11, 12 and 13 and will bring together bullfighters from the different bullfighting schools in the country.
