The right -handed Curro Romero remains admitted from Monday at the Macarena Hospital in Seville, where he recovers from a serious respiratory crisis, as sources close to his family have confirmed to Efe.
The also known as Pharaoh of Camas, 91, contracted a few days ago Covid, and now presents a pneumonia picture that affects the left lung and has forced him to remain under observation and with restricted visits.
“The night has passed, it evolves well and is pending to be transferred to a room,” they explained the same sources, which are optimistic about the evolution of the bullfighter, while noticing his advanced age and the delicate state of his health.
These health problems are added to urine infection and the respiratory crisis through which he entered the hospital twice last May. Just a year earlier, he suffered the fracture of the femur’s head, for which he was intervened in Macarena, a reference center for the Camero killer that five years ago exceeded a larynx cancer that marked a before and after in his physical state.
Curro Romero turned 91 on December 1 and his last public appearance occurred in early May in the bullfighting proclamation organized by the Royal circle of farmers.
