Coqfighter is another super modern, highly London chicken shop, one that is liberal with coriander, spring onion and sesame seeds. Take a solid recipe for fried chicken, add to the mix a classic “east meets west” journey — from buffalo wings to Korean hot sauce — and you have an affordable winner. Coqfighter gets it really right, though. The Nashville hot burger, with green coleslaw, chipotle mayo and house pickles is a fine thing, as is the Thai-style roast chicken, which calls on the likes of garlic, lime, and lemongrass.
