The Academy announces the candidates for the 98th edition of the Hollywood awards that will be presented on March 15

The race for the Oscars is getting closer to the end with the announcement of the nominees this Thursday. The 98th edition of the film industry’s most important awards will take place on March 15 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles – home of the gala since the beginning of the century – and will be presented by Conan O’Brien for the second consecutive year.
The actors Danielle Brooks & Lewis Pullman were in charge of revealing the candidates among which stands out The sinners, which is positioned as the most nominated film in the history of the Oscars with 16 opportunities to win the statuette – thus surpassing the 14 of Eve naked (1950), Titanic (1997) y La La Land (2016). Meanwhile, the Spanish Sirât It has achieved two nominations, both for best international film and best sound.
