The performer Elisa Montés, known for films such as Eleven pairs of boots, half past two…and poison, Life in a block o The fourth window or for the series blue summer, died today, Wednesday, at the age of 89, according to the Union of Actors and Actresses with a message on the social network The wild cat, the famous work of his grandfather, the composer Manuel Penella Moreno. Although her family’s ties with the arts went much further: she was married to the film director Antonio Ozores, with whom she had her daughter Emma, also an actress, and she was the sister of Emma Penella and Terele Pávez, both well-known performers, already deceased.
Born in 1934, Montés debuted on the big screen with Elenaby Jesús Pascual, in 1954, and that same year he obtained his first prominent role in the cinema with Eleven pairs of bootsby Francisco Rovira, when she was not even 20. From then on, and for almost three decades, she never stopped appearing in films and series, adding more than 70 works, according to the compilation of the specialized website Imdb. Their participation in The last flags, Ambitious o Fighting giantsand, in general, in several spaghetti western from the sixties, like Goodbye, Texas o Seven dollars red.
At that same time he also began to appear on the small screen, starting with the series Tragedies of vulgar lifeon TVE, where her husband and brother-in-law, José Luis Ozores, also performed. Although television precisely gave her one of the roles that gave her the most fame: she was Carmen, the mother of Bea and Tito, in the series blue summer, in the early eighties.
Among his latest film appearances is the film moon sea, with his sister Emma. On television, however, he could be seen visiting his daughter in 2017, when Emma Ozores was participating in that year’s edition of VIP Big Brother.
