The future of Suffolk’s pharmacy has been secured, the society stated in a newsletter.

The Southwold and Reydon Society, which was set up to protect the area’s character and amenities, revealed the news of the village pharmacy in its newsletter.

The club acknowledged the behind-the-scenes support of staff at Sole Bay Health Centre, in Teal Close, to help run the pharmacy.

In a newsletter, club secretary Fiona Taylor said: “We understand that the future of Reydon Pharmacy is now secured, which is great news.

“It and the health center are a real asset to the community and thanks go to everyone involved for their dedication and hard work.”

NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB), which plans and buys healthcare services for the local population, said: “Any change in the ownership of the community pharmacy is subject to the approval of the ICB’s governance arrangements.

“Once the decision is made, it is shared publicly.

“While this process is ongoing, we are unable to comment on specific ownership changes, however we can confirm that ICB remains committed to ensuring the continuity of services for local pharmacies.”
