Icónica, the festival that sells the most tickets and generates the most controversy

In its sixth edition, Icónica has become the first festival in Spain by tickets sold, with almost 370,000 attendees – 30% more than in 2025. It is ahead of live music giants such as Primavera Sound (287,000), Viña Rock (100,000) or Mad Cool (200,000), as well as the attendance forecasts for the next Arenal Sound (300,000), according to data provided this Wednesday by Green Cow Music, organizer of the event in the Plaza de España in Seville. In the 30 concerts held between June 4 and July 18, seven have been recorded sold out: the two nights of Aitana, Los Delinqüentes, Orgullo en la Plaza, Lenny Kravitz, Juan Luis Guerra and Sting. And the first of 2027 has already been announced: El Barrio has sold out on June 5. Furthermore, this edition has left impressions such as Robbie Williams’ improvisation with a street musician or the visit of a star like Jamiroquai – on his only date in Spain – to the luthier Antonio Bernal to acquire a flamenco guitar.
