In one of the scenes in the film, a group of American soldiers in helicopters chase some Syrian insurgents who are driving their cars through the desert. There are shots, many explosions, fire… Then zombies will appear, more shootings and a lot of blood. They are not visual effects. There is also no makeup, no sound design, or lighting. Because there aren’t, there aren’t even actors. Everything that happens in the 13 minutes of the short film released this Monday has been generated by Artificial Intelligence. Is called Nightborne and it is the new film by South African filmmaker Neill Blomkamp, a well-known face of Hollywood and creator of films like District 9, Elysium o Chappie.
