The journalist Jacobo García is the winner of the sixth edition of the Anagrama de Crónica/Fundación Gianiacomo Feltrinelli Award for his first book, light yearsa compilation of his experience as a correspondent in Latin America between 2000 and 2023. The work has been chosen from among 49 publications by the jury composed of Martín Caparrós, Carlo Feltrinelli, Leila Guerriero, Juan Villoro and Silvina Sesé. “I feel very proud, very honored, very happy to receive an award that bears the Anagrama seal of quality and the name of Feltrinelli,” García, who currently works at EL PAÍS, comments by phone. “It is an award for the chronicle, which is practically the only genre I know.”
