A fine of 55 million euros and a request for prison: the alleged tax fraud in concerts reaches court

The alleged fraud due to the underpricing of thousands of musicians in Spain is about to reach the courts. In 2024, when it reached the ears of the Labor Inspection, the fiscal hole already accumulated 5.9 million euros. Since then, it has skyrocketed. Plaza 33 of the Court of First Instance of Barcelona has issued an order to open the oral trial against Juan Martínez Murcia, responsible for the main company under the spotlight, Actura 12, for two crimes against Social Security in different periods. The prosecution is asking for a cumulative fine of 55 million euros and a sentence of eight years and eight months in prison, as this newspaper was able to confirm with several sources in the case. There is still no date for the start of the process.
