The Corpus bullfight in Seville, dressed with great solemnity in the atmosphere and in the details, had a single name from beginning to end: Morante de la Puebla. He cut off three ears with two tasks full of talent and good taste and went on his shoulders through the Puerta del Príncipe for the third time in his long career. It has been a triumphant exit, but, without a doubt, it has not been the best afternoon for the cigar maker in La Maestranza. At the same Seville fair this year there were some more emphatic afternoons. But he is going through a moment of great clairvoyance, he has the audiences dazzled, and all of this turns into cheers and acclamations. It seems that he cut off three ears almost without breaking a sweat.

Morante of Puebla: thrust through (ear); lunge (two ears). He left on his shoulders through the Prince’s Gate.
Juan Ortega: prick and detached thrust (ovation); lying lunge (silence).
Pablo Aguado: perpendicular and opposite puncture and thrust (ovation); back lunge (silence).
