Following sites in Clapham Junction and King’s Cross, the new Tamila will open in Soho on Poland Street, and like the others will riff on the idea of a traditional south Indian curry house. It will open from lunch through till dinner each day, serving more of the group’s famed made-to-order rotis and curries, alongside a good range of cocktails and beers. Diners should expect dishes from Tamil Nadu, India’s 10th largest state, with curries including a Thanjavur chicken curry and Chettinad Lamb curry. There will also be a run of small plates, plenty of bread offerings — including the new-for-Tamila garlic coriander naan and kulcha — alongside tandoor-cooked meats and a variety of vegetarian dishes.
